Contemporary landscape painter Steven Dolan recreates on canvas the awe-inspiring beauty that is found in nature. Steven paints traditional oil paintings with intent to reflect the sheer splendor of the Catskills and the Hudson Valley. He captures the ever-changing skies, light and atmosphere around him. Originally from New Hampshire, he graduated from the New Hampshire Institute of Fine Art, and has been a member of the Hudson River Fellowship since 2010.
Steven currently resides in the Hudson Valley where he finds the sunsets are unparalleled, and he continues to create from the locales where many of the American Masters spent their time.
"It is the sky that makes the earth so lovely at sunrise, and so splendid at sunset. In the one it breathes over the earth the crystal-like ether, in the other the liquid gold" - Thomas Cole
